A New Angle in misuse of cyber space -- A threat to Nation

The  Investigation of a kidnap case in  Shivakasi of Tamilnadu focuses  a new light about  pumping of Hawala money from our neighbour country.The responsibility of the Indian citizen  in the protection of the nations intrest is once aganin in question.

               A ransom call to the parents of the 14-year-old boy,  who was  suspected to be  kidnaped,  was made from Pakistan. The IB was alerted because of the received phone call is from Pakistan. it is a starnge case of  ran away of a boy  from home,the  worried parents mistook a wrong call from  an abductor, who in turn saw an opportunity in their plight to make some money.the investigation  found that the  call was made to Boys mother  mobile from pakistan which  she mistook as a ransom call.

            The caller who had dialed the boy mother mistakenly , decided to exploit the vulnerable parents and sought Rs 25 lakh.  The caller  gave a bank account number and aske the money to be deposited there.       

the police officials  were  tracked  the call and found it as it is  from  Pakistan, and the account holders traced to Dindigul near Madurai.

               The plot behind this came in light is that  one  Pakistani had appointed agents in Dindigul of Tamilnadu  for buying DTH scrap cards from India to beam TV programmes that are banned in Pakistan.

the acount holders  used to receive  calls from   Pakistan  for past  two years. The caller had asked them to source DTH scrap cards aganist   20% commission  promised. The bank account was created for the Pakistani to deposit the money due to the agents. The  account holders had since been buying DTH cards and selling the serial numbers to the Pakistani, who in turn, used to beam the programmes illegally to his customers.

          The money  deposited into the account from Uttar Pradesh, Haryana and Delhi. They believe this to be a new form of Hawala and suspect a network to be running it.The citizens responsibilty in understanding of such traps by a offensive country , they must infrom the police but instead they want to make money out of the chance.....the citizens should think on these ..................
